During the tour, I tried lobster and prime rib ( above in a Foxwoods photo), and both were solid and offered great value at the price point. While David Burke is a dry-aged gourmet steak eater’s hotspot, Cedars is a laid back, family friendly steak house that serves good food at reasonable prices. In a way Cedars is the more-casual little brother to Foxwoods’ other steakhouse, David Burke Prime ( which we recently wrote about). The tour started here and this restaurant served as a fitting introduction to Foxwoods’ culinary world. Instead it was a sampling tour of four of the resort’s most popular restaurants, listed below: Mercifully, the media tour, did not include stops at every restaurant.

These dining spots serve a United Nations worth of food styles from Chinese to Italian and American, and even farm-to-table-you name it, there’s a good chance they have it. There are more than 30 restaurants in all, ranging from casual take-out joints to fancy, decadent and elegant restaurants.

The first impressive thing about the food scene at Foxwoods is its size and diversity.
